member code of conduct and general etiquette

Each Bodyplex is individually owned and operated. The rules and policies shown here are exclusively for Bodyplex Elberton, but are generally understood to be good basic gym etiquitte. We welcome questions regarding specific activities not listed here.

We are especially proud of the positive atmosphere and sense of community that has grown at our clubs over recent years. Please help us continue that by abiding by the following:

CLOTHING and HYGIENE

  • Shirts must be worn at all times in all areas of the gym. Sports bras are acceptable for women.

  • Practice good personal hygiene.

  • The only footwear not welcome is anything muddy or dusty.

  • Multiple stations with sanitizing wipes are located throughout the gym. Use these to wipe off equipment and benches after use.

COURTESY

  • The #1 pet peeve of gymgoers is people not reracking their weights. Clean up your weights after your work out!

  • Be courteous when taking phone calls. Remember, others don't care to hear your conversation.

  • Discussion of or commenting on the physical appearance of others (aka body shaming), is unwelcome and will not be tolerated.

  • Unless someone asks for your opinion, don't give it.

  • Don't interrupt someone's workout to start a conversation

  • Be nice to the staff. Disrespect or rude behavior of any kind toward them is never tolerated.

  • No outside personal training is allowed in our facility. Any personal training must be conducted by Bodyplex staff trainers.

SAFETY and SECURITY

  • Non-members are not allowed in the club after staffed hours. We view the the cameras daily to check for security breaches. Any member seen bringing in another person who does not also scan a barcode will be held responsible for violating our guest policy

  • Do not open the door for someone who does not have a working barcode. BE SAFE!

  • Harassment and unwanted attention toward other members is not tolerated

  • For liability reasons, children are not allowed on the gym floor and cannot be left unattended in the lobby. Please plan for their care prior to visiting the club.

  • My goal as sole owner of both Bodyplex Elberton locations is to provide a complete training facility for the entire community. If there is a conflict with another member, or if anyone feels unsafe or harassed, please reach out to me personally.  Elizabeth Tyler 706-988-0681
