member code of conduct and general etiquette

Each Bodyplex is individually owned and operated. The rules and policies shown here are exclusively for Bodyplex Elberton, but are universally accepted as basic gym etiquette. We welcome questions regarding specifics not listed here.

We are especially proud of the positive atmosphere and sense of community that has grown at our clubs over recent years. Please help us continue that by abiding by the following:

CLOTHING and HYGIENE

  • Shirts must be worn at all times in all areas of the gym. Sports bras are acceptable for women.

  • Do you pass the sniff test? Strong perfumes and lotions are just as bad as body odor. Please be aware!

  • Tracking in mud will get you banned.

  • Wipe down equipment, mats, and benches after use.

COURTESY

  • The #1 pet peeve of gymgoers is people not reracking their weights. Clean up your weights after your work out!

  • Don't take phone calls on speaker, go outside.

  • Discussion of or commenting on the physical appearance of others (aka body shaming), will not be tolerated.

  • Unless someone asks for your opinion, don't give it.

  • Don't interrupt someone's workout to start a conversation

  • Be extra nice to the staff. Disrespect or rude behavior of any kind toward them will get you banned.

  • No outside personal training is allowed in our facility. Any personal training must be conducted by Bodyplex staff trainers.

SAFETY and SECURITY

  • Non-members are not allowed in the club after staffed hours. We view the the cameras daily to check for security breaches. Any member seen bringing in another person or holding the door for someone who does not scan a barcode will be held responsible for violating our guest policy

  • Do not open the door for someone who does not have a working barcode. BE SAFE!

  • Harassment and unwanted attention toward other members will get you banned.

  • Children are not allowed on the gym floor and cannot be left unattended in the lobby. Make a plan for their care prior to visiting the club.

  • My goal as sole owner of both Bodyplex Elberton locations is to provide a safe and welcoming training facility for the entire community. If you have a conflict with another member or feel unsafe or harassed, feel free to reach out to me personally.  Elizabeth Tyler 706-988-0681
